I am new to the HD realm, but not riding. I am looking at 2 bikes right now. Other than the different motors, and paint scheme (standard gray vs Custom black motor) what are some differences between the two. Both are the same price, the standard having a stage 1 kit, lowered, drag type bars and thunder star front wheel, and the custom being bone stock. The custom has 10,000 miles and the standard has 5,000. I know that when it comes to customizing, it is up to the individual owner, so that is not what I am asking. I am talking about the base bike itself.
Hard to say. All things being equal, I love my '07. Not sure if the '06's have the 96", 6 spd, etc.
Also, I like to work on bone stock, not that options might not be to my taste, but I like that I'm the only one that has wrenched on it. Probably doesn't matter, but I always consider it.
I have an 06 standard which I like alot but I'd go for the 07.Bigger engine, better trans. and I think it has the upgraded hydraulic cam chain tensioners. No brainer really.
