Hey all, I am looking for some of your expertise in a bad way.
In the last two months I have purchased an HD Rally Rider 1/2 Helmet(98200-04), an HD Bernie 1/2 Helmet(98338-09vm) and for my wife an HD Skyline 1/2 Helmet(98238-08vw).....
All three of these sit much higher on our heads than the look we were both trying to achieve.
Can I get some advice from you guys and gals on what company makes the lowest (or Lower) profile DOT approved rally 1/2 helmets??
The ZOX 1/2 looks pretty low but after throwing down 500 large on ebay helmets that we likely won't wear I figured I should ask the masses!
The three helmets above identify the style we like however we are hopelessly chasing the Soup Bowl look...lol
I think i have what you're looking for, but I don't see a name on it anywhere! I bought it because they claim to be the smallest dot around, and I love how it fits and looks. I bought it from the local harley, but it's not a HD brand. I'll look next time I'm there the find out the brand. Sry I can't be more help. And I know what you mean about sitting high on your head. This is the only dot that I'll wear.
Lots of HD dealers carry Fulmer helmets. I have a Fulmer 1/2 helmet, most comfortable I could find (DOT anyway) and the price was right; less than $70 (not at the dealer).
I picked up a new DOT Fulmer 1/2 from Flebay for under 20 and it sits well and stays put. None of the DOTs will give the to so-called bad/*** Novelty look..just make sure you have plenty of stickers, some fingerless gloves and don't shave if you are planning to ride, then the helmet won't matter...
