I have an 07 FXSTC, and put on a set of 3" extensions on the stock forward controls.
bought a set on Ebay of Arlen Ness adapters.
Bout $150, fast shipping, and took only 1.5 hours to instal, including bleading the rear brake.
The kit comes with the extension plates (anodized black powder coated), new torx bolts, extended shifter rod, and a new longer chrome braided rear brake line, as well as new washers for the kickstand.
I'm 6'3, and its WAAAAY more comfortable now. I wanted the feel of highway pegs all the time, without the look of putting on a stupid chrash bar, or moustache bar.
HD dealer wanted almost $450 for the same thing.
Highly recommend it.
Cheers.

because they're all black, you'd be hard pressed to tell that its not stock.
I'll grab a pic off my bike tonight, and show you them tomorrow.

Found a gotcha! I have a custom shift link rod on the bike, and the ends are MALE- I need to get some FEMALE rod ends since the dealer didn't give me back the original equipment shifter rod (and Ness didn't bother including them in the kit). Where do I get shift rod ends that are FEMALE threaded??
The (sparse) Ness kit instructions refer you to the "appropriate" Service Manual, and the manual shows NOTHING about removing the footpegs/levers anywhere that I can find. I'm sure it's not rocket science, but it never hurts to get advice...
Thanks in advance.
