I'm thinking of extending my controls forward by 2 inches. I'm 5,11 with 14" apes on a night train and it feel as though I would be more comfier with a bit more stretch for my legs.
Can any body shed some light with a similar setup on how it feels, even better if you guys had some pics to give me an idea on the extra stretch. Thanks!!
I am 5'11" and I was looking for more leg room on my train. I got the Arlen Ness 3" extension kit for like 120 bucks super easy install and it is totally awesome. Real nice kit comes with shift rod and rear brake line. Nice heavy quality pieces that make huge difference. I really highly recommend it. Best deals search Amazon. Don't have any close up pics to show it. Comes in chrome or black of course I never heard of this chrome color so I chose black.

Wicked, that's the kit I was looking at too. Not sure about this chrome color either, I heard its pretty, something similar along the lines of pink.
So you you still got some bend in your knee? You're not all stretched out?
No there is still some bend in the knee. I can get my heel on the top of the pegs and it will rest right where heel sole meets the leather when I am stretching out on the highway. Perfect fit. One of my favorite mods it was cheap and really made long rides nice.
Yep that sounds perfect then, heels on the pegs on the hi-way. Sitting on my bike and putting my feet out, it's just to close to guess and I can't find any one around here with the 3" extended controls. I just put a nice Arlen Ness black contrast cut linkage on too! Oh well **** happens, I think I'm going to bite the bullet and order the kit
