Why do you want to take out the baffles? You want it louder? Get Big City Thunder baffles to replace the stock baffles and you will still have some back pressure.

I also run V&H short shots staggered. Get the Big City Thunder Monster Baffles. All the noise you will need. Sound is close to running no baffles but you will still get the back pressure you need.

The previous owner of my NT was running the V&H Short Shots on it without the baffles. I put them back in. It now has a little more torque, sounds almost as loud but has a deeper tone and most importantly it no longer has that annoying popping on deceleration.

Without baffles it will run too lean and as mentioned above, you will have no back pressure. Running too lean with no back pressure could cause you to burn out your exhaust valves.

Why does it have to be so loud anyway?
