Thanks....I have just taken a look at their wed page. Seems pretty reasonably priced. You think these "Sweeper Stretch" would reduce me reaching forward? Or, should I just go with the risers? Which will require less cable work?

The risers will probably not require any changes to cables or hose. You may be able to use your stock equipment with the higher bars as well. Being creative with the routing sometimes adds just the extra you need.

I have an 05 Springer and I also had the same problems with my shoulders after a long ride. Went to the mini-apes and it took care of the problem completely. I was after a certain look and I now have 16" wild1 chubbies on it and I like it even better. While 16's might not be for everybody, it works for me and I am 6'. I would suggest trying the mini's first and see how you like them, you might be surprised how they make your ride more enjoyable. Good luck

if you spend the money on the Wild 1's you will not be disappointed, I have the 12 inch apes on my springer and love it! Feels perfect and they are well built, the stock bars when i removed them felt cheap and the side by side comparison, they are cheaply built, bars replaced and the controls replaced with Hawg Halters Inc controls, man its a clean set up and the chrome is so much nicer than the factory crap! Hope this helps!
