You put a New York chain on the engine guard? I would put it somewhere that you can't just disconnect with 3 bolts... doesn't your Kryptonite fit through the frame lock?
I have been good thus far although I usually lock it through the forks so the wheel would have to be removed. But...my insurance is all paid up too. In a perfect world I would actually have a real garage but would still lock it up.
I hear ya. When I had a carport situation, I used both the New York Chain and another Kryptonite Snake chain, both locked to the bike in separate places, including one kryptonite through the sidestand. So if the thief wants the bike, he needs a partner to hold the bike up while he removes the kickstand.
I also had a curb where I butted the bike up perfectly and with the tension from the chain, the bike cannot stand up since it is leaned against the curb with the chain pulling it towards the curb.
Yeah, I went through a lot of trouble securing the bike because I had some questionable people in the neighborhood. You don't know the joy I experienced when i bought a house with a garage so I can keep all my toys in there.
Security is a must, even in a garage in a house. I have met so many people that have had their garages broken into and their bikes stolen from. You'd be surprised. When I did have a garage with multiple bike in it they were all locked together.

Yep, know that well... or those who forget to close or lock their garages. It happens. If someone wants your stuff bad enough, they'll get it. You just have to deter them enough or make them work too hard so they won't bother with it.
I'll be taking a spin today for a full test of the baords. The only issue I have is that I have a Cross Bones kickstand (1" shorter) and it is really hard to reach it with these new boards to put either up or down. If anyone has a stock softail kickstand let me know. I think I need a longer one.
