I'm thinking about going to a 120/70/21 on my 94 FXSTC. My only concern right now is the front fender, it's gonna be tight and I don't want to ride with out one. Replacing it would be very costly due to the repainting costs, I have an unusual color.
Does anyone make some sort of plate to extend the fender mounts up a little? I've been looking and not found anything.
Any other ideas on how to get this tire under a stock fender?
Thanks
Doug

Reason: cause I goofed
I put a 120/70/21 on a 21/2.15 wheel and it fit with the stock fender,It was VERY TIGHT. I got a new 3.5 wheel and it wouldn't even come close to fitting. The fender was about a inch and a half from coming down to the mounting holes on the forks ,-it was sitting on the tire. With the wider wheel the tire spreads out big time
Thanks to you and your avitar for the pics, that 90/90 looks real tight with the stock fender . To be honest it looks like a road pebble would get stuck in that new fender, why did you make it so tight to the tire?
If I had a black bike I'd just replace the fender but mine is 2-tone plus two pin stripes.
It went on, it wasnt easy, it rode fine. The thing is it doesnt look near as wide on a 2.15. because it isnt. On my 3.5 wheel it looks good . I bought a shinko tire they are cheap and sticky. All the sport bike riders around here swear by them.
