very interesting????? hmmm gotta think about those but man kinda pricey depends on the quality would be nice if someone had some
Thanks for your responses guys. Yes, they are kind of expensive. I also have a mustache engine guard on my Heritage. By the time I replace that with the correct engine guard (around $200), plus the cost of the leg fairings (over $500), plus labor (if I have someone else do it), the total cost would be between $775 and $900 ($75 per hr labor rate). That is expensive but they sure do look cool and I think and are also very functional.
Did you get them? Thinking about them for my Road King Classic. They look great. Seems the install should be a snap. I have the original engine guard so that shouldn't be an issue.
The owner of the site claims the engine cooling is better with the guards in place as they direct more air to the motor. Thoughts?

Haven't yet but I am going to. I agree, I think they would look great on your RKC as well. I have decided to wait till this winter, when the local HD dealership will offer a discounted (but still expensive) labor rate as well as discounts on parts/accessories. Good thing you already have the correct engine guard and yes, you certainly should be able to do it yourself. I also planned on having a couple more things done with my Heritage, so I will just have the dealership do everything at once. I ended up calling and talking to the owner of LeatherPros. His name is Garry...very nice guy. He said he has never had any returns or complaints for the lower leg fairings and yes, since they are vented, he said he has also not received any complaints of overheated engines. I can't wait to have them installed on mine. Good luck and maybe when you get yours, you can report back? Also, if you have any specific questions, feel free to e-mail or call the owner. He was very friendly to deal with I thought.
Will do SOft422. I went over to the HD dealership here (Orange County HD) and asked them to order them. They said they'd call LeatherPro's tomorrow and get set up as a dealer. Hopefully that process won't take too long and I can get them in rather quickly.
I had a short email correspondence with Gary @ leatherpros. Very nice and answered my questions. I've seen a ton of good comments on these boards about their bags. There is only one thread that I could find though on the lowers was at https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...er-lowers.html with some nice pics. That is what prompted me to go to the dealer and get the process started.

Thanks for the info ehans. I'm looking forward to hearing from you after you get them. Pics too, if possible? Thanks.

I sent the OP (original poster) a PM (private message) in the thread you listed above on your behalf and mine and asked if he could report back and tell us if he likes the lower leg fairings or not. I'm guessing he does but I would like to get some feedback. I asked him either to send us a PM or to respond to your inquiry on his thread. The leg fairings look very cool on his RKC, that is for sure. That thread is over 2 years old, so hopefully the OP still looks at HD forums.
Those look pretty sweet... that might be a possible investment! Thanks for the idea!
Thank you. I am a little surprised that I do not see more of these on FL Softails or FLH touring bikes. Great idea and like you mentioned...they look sweet.
