I got the Leather Pros Lower Fairings installed last night and WOW....they make riding a whole lot better at highway speeds! My pants hardly flapped in the wind at 75 mph. It is a very noticable difference and the fit and finish of these is awesome! Look like they should have come on it from the factory.

Bringin' this thread back to life...

I'm thinkin' about getting the Desert Dawgs soft lower chaps for cold weather riding that attach to the engine guard for my Heritage...do they work well?

They look like easy on /off and cost 119.00...

Any opinions regarding this product?

I looked at the Desert Dawgs myself. After doing some research, I found out that they are really liked but they do not cover the whole bar. They say rain and wind comes by the inside edge of the lower. I decided to purchase the new HD lowers which cover the whole bar (except the middle so air can get to the cylinder). Ordered them 11 days ago and now found out they are back ordered until 25 Nov.

bought some for my wifes bike on e bay for like $60 , looked at the HD ones and did not like the small spot for your highway pegs to go through the side , the ones on e bay have most of the side open ,so even if they were the same money I like the design of the e bay ones better . have run them for 2 yrs now and no problems

You might want to note that the HD lowers are not recommended for use above 50 degrees. That's because they don't let air into the engine. The Desert Dawgs are specifically designed to funnel just enough air through there that you don't have to worry about overheating - even if you're in monsoon season in florida and it's raining but 90 degrees out!

Good point...living in SE TX it doesn't get real cold. I'm still considering the Desert Dawgs brand.
