Had Deluxe shocks on the bike to lower it an inch. Adjusted the shocks for 2up. Can only remember bottoming out one time. The shocks are pretty easy to adjust, you will need a motorcycle jack.

I like the Deluxe, however if it were between a Deluxe and a Street Glide I would get the Street Glide. Test ride a Street Glide and a RK and you will throw rocks at the RK. The Street Glide is more sporty lookin IMHO. Just my 2 cents worth.

We have a Deluxe. There isn't a big differance. Mostly a handful of little things that make you like one model over the other.

Yeah, stay away from the dealer that said you'll bottom out. I ride two up on my Heritage (same setup as the Deluxe) all the time and I alone weigh 260lbs. Haven't even adjusted the shocks and never bottom out (except large bumps....need to adjust thew shocks).

I have a Street Glide and am getting a 2010 Heritage this Friday. My wife's 2009 Heritage convinced me to go for a softail....

I hate dealers that do that. They sound desperate to me. My Deluxe rides so smooth with 2 on it. We aren't large people and the low ride is perfect. Get the Deluxe...from a different dealer and then show it off to that idiot.
