hey all, I have a 09 heritage and I'm looking for a backrest that can go solo or two-up. Anyone have any ideas? I found one from a smaller company called "Grasshopper" but I'd like to talk to someone that tried it. also, it needs to be able to mount with my fender bib.
I spent months looking to put a backrest on my 07 Heritage, never found one that looked good. Ended up getting a Mustang saddle with built-in/removable backrest. More money, but looks great and works well. Mustang was great to work with too, I wasn't thrilled with the first model, they did an exchange no questions asked.
My only complaint is how it always drops down to the lowest position. Seems to be the indentations they put in the bar to lock it in are not deep enough so it falls.
I have the backrest from Grasshopper lImited. It works great. Comes off in about 2 seconds. Email the owner of Grasshopper. His name is Lonnie and he is very helpfull.
AZRICH how does it look? do you have it solo or two up? will i be able to keep the fender bib on and have the clean look? i was already talking to him and he seems great, gonna cut me a deal and ship for free.
