figured i would ask if anyone here at HDForums did waterjet cutting. I have a part in mind and have no idea how much such work costs. Obviously I can send a DXF to any number of machine shops for a quote but maybe someone here can chime in with advice on pricing, turnaround etc.
Check with John TN (he's a MOD here), he has a CNC plasma cutter.
I know its not the same as a water-jet, but it can cut metal just as accurately as a water-jet, and I know he does a lot of nice work with it.
I don't imagine it would be difficult to make parts with it, especially if you can provide a CAD file for it.
