Default Fat Boy Passenger Grab Strap Attachment - New vs Old?

The grab strap on my 2003 Fat Boy attaches to a couple of metal tabs that are essentially attached to the frame - held in place by the forward mounting bolts of the chrome rear fender support bracket. This makes taking the seat off a bit of a production, since the same mounting points are also used for my quick-detach sissy bar and quick-detach saddlebags. I see the newer Fat Boy use a different graq strap mounting system - it looks like the grab strap runs under the pillion seat. I assume the grab strap attaches to the bottom of the pillion seat ( or maybe to the fender under the seat?). If the grab strap attaches to the bottom of the pillion seat, that means it would come off with the pillion seat, which would make removing the seat much easier. Can someone with a newer Fat Boy confirm how the grab strap is attached? Anyone know if it's possible to retrofit the newer grab strap attachment system to older models like my 2003? Thx.

The grab strap on the FLSTFB attatch to the two knurled bolts that hold the rear of the saddle in place. Piece of cake getting the pilon on and off.

Would you happen to know if the seat mounting system has changed between 2000-2006 Fat Boy models and the 2007+ models? And if it is possible to retrofit the new grab strap mounting system onto my 2003? Tnx.
