Default Damaged Lo

Well I was trailering my bike from Florida to Rapid City South Dakota and along the way a strap broke and my bike fell over in the trailer. Dented, scratched, and dinged up the right side pretty good. It's now at Black Hills Harley getting appraised for the insurance company. Anybody know what my chances are of getting aftermarket stuff as opposed to stock? The guy told me whatever the difference in price is I have to pay but I was hoping stock parts were close to aftermarket. I'm so dissappointed, I just want to ride!!!!

Stock Parts are probably higher really. The problem is if they try to put used stuff on there like a lot of insurance co's do with cars.

Have them cut you a check, order the parts and put them on yourself. get black lower forks instead what is on there. The fork tins are easy. The fenders and air cleaner covers are really easy. I'd have my bike completely different fronm that insurance payout. It is a good omen for you...really!

I don't have a problem getting the check but they told me they charge $200 appraisal fee at HD!!!

Drew, if I go that route I'm calling you up to get some ideas!

Had a friend do that to a dirt bike one time. Except he dragged it on the hiway for a short distance and tore things up pretty good. I've always used double tie-downs whenever hauling anything of importance since that day.
