S&S Air Cleaner on Carbuerated 03 Heritage
I just picked up my 03 Heritage and it came set up with S&S Air kit and some pipes (not sure which kind). Pretty much, I can say the hd shop where i picked it up was not very knowledgable and couldn't answer questions for me about the Air Cleaner setup I had on it.
Just wondering if anyone was familiar with this setup. It smells like it is running pretty rich, and after you park it, you can still smell the fuel. I've noticed that when i go back to the bike after parking it, there is a small puddle directly under the air vent tube from the air cleaner. If you touch the tube, you get an oil substance that smells like fuel (not sure if it is oil from the High Flow Air Filter- the oil is very light colored). I'm only getting 39 mpg.
Your thoughts, comments, help is appreciated.

Could be a couple of things going on... 1.too rich - pull the plugs and check... 2.filter oil - pull the cover and check. Wipe everything down... if it continues to drip after every ride, somethings amiss. Float could be sticking... bowl leaking... turn off the petcock and see if it still drips, could be a loss in vacuum.
