It would be weird for someone who doesnt know you at all to take your troll. If its on someones bike and especially a mascot. I know how much stuff like that means to some people and wouldnt **** with it. Email them back or try and figure out who it is and if all else fails at the next meeting say something. If they realize its serious then they should give it back. But for now just ride and relax its all good.
Here is what you do. You find out who it is and have a good laugh and buy him a beer. While that is going on, have a friend put a Gay Pride Magnet or plate cover on his scooter. that **** is funny! i have a friend that i regularly harass. when he goes on vacation i break into his house and put pictures of myself in all his picture frames, unscrew his light bulbs, and re arrange his cabinets. his wife gets pissed, but who cares, i dont live with her!
Are you over reacting? YES My group had a Barbie doll that went from bike to bike for a short while, it was all in fun. Pay the bar tab ransom and get it back. You know everyone is fair game when this type of thing starts. I would be scoping out your next move.
While I understand how you could be pissed....it's a group and that ***** is funny. Especially if they ransomed it....or returned it with pictures of it lounging at the beach, in a bar, with a hooker...funny stuff like it took a vacation from you and had a good time...people only do that stuff if they like you. If they didn't like you they wouldn't pay any attention to you at all.
Return the favor.
When I was doing Civil War Reenacting someone stole a General's favorite chair. He got pics of the chair at the beach, at a riverside with a fishing pole, at a football stadium, at HOOTERS, etc.
He thought it was funny as hell, and exactly one year from the date it was 'stolen' it turned up in front of his tent at an event one morning.
