I ride with a group of all kinds of bikes with about 100 active members. We had an event we went to and while inside one of the members thought it would be funny i guess to steal the troll from my bike. First it was missing for a week and then i was sent email saying it was wanting to come home and would be at a bar. i dont know who took it and i am not amused and feel like you should not mess with another bike. I dont feel i want to ride with that group unless that person apologizes or the organizers remove that member. Am I over reacting? Any other suggestions? has this happened to you and if so how did you react?
Seems obvious the intent was for it to be good natured. Maybe take this opportunity to have some fun in life rather than get all twisted. It's just a motorcycle. N there's bigger things in life.

Over-reacting. Stuff like this often goes with a group. I'd add a caveat that as long as it's a stuffed critter-type thing, or something similar, and not valuable, it's meant in fun and there is no harm done. Now, if it had to be removed by a wrench, then it might be different. Again, that would depend on the group: MC, it'd be normal; HOG, probably not appropriate.
I would say thay you are probably over reacting, but I understand your position here. You might also take this time to find out who did it and screw with them also. What's fair for one is fair for everyone. If you're going to get even, make it a good one.
If you have a buddy that is a cop, you can have a lot of fun at their expense.

I'd take his joke over the top and take the pegs off his bike or something ridiculous. Just to get my point across that whether it's some small thing like a troll or not, if it was on my bike then it wasn't there for you to take off. I'da been furious that they took it in the first place, but that's just me, I'll mess around with people and joke around a lot but I don't mess with my friend's bikes.
