Fatboy Wheel Question
Let the flame begin! I had the solid wheels (no bullet holes, even) on my ride and was very uncomfortable in the crosswinds above 20 mph, even. It just didn't feel right; I tried switching the tires and adjusting the suspension with no improvement. I finally bit the bullet and put on the five spoke Thunderstars from HD and swear it was a new bike. Same Fatboy riding the same fatboy a few hours later and it was just a stark difference. That being said, I know there are just as many people who say it's a BS issue and go with it. If you like the bike's looks, there are always options if you don't like the solid wheel ride down the road and, from what I've heard, drilling some bullet holes makes a bit of a difference as well if you can't spring for a new set of rims.
Short answer, I loved the look but hated the ride until I got the new rims.
