Default Front breaks

How full should the front break resovvior be, I just noticed it was leaking alittle out of the corner and I took it to Harley dealer today they replaced the gasket and said it was a little too full but I never added any, took the bike for a ride and just got home and it looks like it is still leaking a drop from the corner? How full should it be? Any suggestions?

Thank-you.

Take a syringe and draw a little bit out. I fill mine so there is about 1/4 to 1/2" of space at the top.

Is that with the handlebars turned all the way to the left or straight?

take it back to the dealer. there is a notch that the new gasket has to sit in unless they installed the wrong gasket

my manual states a 1/8 inch space at the top. That, by the way, is very hard to achieve but possible...

Shouldn't leak at all, brake fluid will trash paint in minutes so be careful. There is the obvious safety issue as well, unless you 100% certain its right make sure the dealer sorts properly.

About where I keep mine. The other trick is not to crank down too hard on the screws holding the top on the reservoir. Just a half turn too tight on the screws will cause it to leak.
