I am new to the forum and have been read ing alot of threadsin here and I can't come to a choice on downloads and every person I talk to at my local dealer tells me they do something different than the last person did. I have a 2009 fatboy with Samson ground pounders they are stepped with no baffles and a kn airfilter kit. I don't have alot of cash ,but I want somthing that will richin up my mix. I got alot of pop on decel and pipes are blueing , no baffles in pipes
I believe the download isn't much help unless you're running the SE pipes and air. With anything else, I'd go with a tuner or the FuelPak. And if all you're doing is a Stage 1 (like me) then I would recommend the V&H FuelPak. It's worked out well for all 3 off my bikes and it's not very expensive (in comparison). You can install it yourself.
The Fuel Pak is OK but only allows V & H MAPs and not a lot of flexibility, it only adds or removes fuel.
For almost the same $ go to Fuel Moto and get a PC V for your bike or if it was a earlier modle you could get a Fuel Moto Tuner ( a PC made for Fuel Moto for less than a Fuel Pak costs). They will give you lifetime MAP support, if you ever do more to the bike it will grow with your needs , You can also go to a local Dyno Tuner and get a custom MAP done. It will make front and rear cyl adjustments for both fuel and timing.
Do yourself a favor and call or e mail Jamie a Fuel Moto and talk to him, you wont be spending $ twice in the future
thanks guys I have heard alot of good things bout the pc and its ability t be custom tuned I think in the long run thats what i am looking for. do you suggest baffles or not and am i doing any harm to the motor with my current set up
Hello Phantom,
How do you like the new pipes??? I have been thinking hard about the true duals. Right now I have V&H Bigh Shots staggered and its just too LOUD!
