Why don't you just buy some side plates and make your own?

harley7316, I was looking at this same set up but after reading the directions I shyed away from it. Did you have to drill holes in the fender to make it work?

I refused to pay $400 for Harley's generic detachable bar. I came across Twisted Steel on E-Bay and Bruce is making me a custom bar with welded on brackets for less. He's a nice guy to talk to. First he sends you a sketch with specs and after you approve it, a deposit is all it takes to get it going. After it is built a photo is sent to you and if you are happy you send the remainder (PayPal) and it is shipped. Oh yeah, the price includes shipping. Now I'll have a custom bar instead of an over priced mass produced one. He also has bars made for sale. Check out his site and tons of photos.
