I have a 2009 Heritage Softail Classic FLSTC I am trying to mount a low profile chrome fuel tank console HD part # 71208-07. The 2010 catalog states it should fit but the bolt going through console does not line up with the nut on the fuel tank plate. Any ideas how to rectify this?

 

When I did my softail with the low profile there is a metal bracket the relocates the mounting peice under the dash... are you sure you have it facing the right direction?

 

I had to bend the bracket that you add to the tank top cover for the efi up a little with a screw driver to get it to line up properly.
Have fun stuffing all those wires under the console too!
