Gas mileage ?
I should be safe then.
Thanks for your help.
I'll let you guys know how many miles I actually went and how many gallons it took to refill it.
Bobby.
P.S. Nice looking Deuce you've got there StreetEagle !
I don't think I have a low fuel warning light as it has a carb instead of fuel injection.
My 2009 Kawasaki Concours14 ABS had fuel injection and it had a low fuel warning light, plus the electronic fuel guage.
If that light started blinking, you had better get fuel FAST !!!
I never had any problems though, and it could go 200 miles without any problems with Shell 93 octane gasoline.
So far, I love the bike, although the brakes could be better.
It should really have duel discs in the front.
Being an old motocross racer, and a superbiker road racer, I have grown a custom of using the front brake only for slowing down and stopping along with the bikes transmission.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I don't know if I have the 5.2 FXST/B gallon tank, the FXSTS/FXSTS 4.2 gallon tank on my FXST/D Deuce ?
I put 3.788 gallons in the bike with going 167 miles.
That averages out to 44.08658923 miles per gallon.
I just don't know how close to being ran out of gas I was ?
Did I have 1.4 gallons of gas left, or only 0.4 gallons of gas left in the tank ?
The 44.08658923 mpg on the Deuce is pretty close to the 45 -47 mpg that I got with my 2009 Kawasaki Concours14 ABS.
Only that I know had a 5.5 gallon gas tank, and a more relieable fuel gauge.
I went today 81 miles, and the Harley Davidson Deuce gas gauge is now reading 1/2 of a tank. This was riding about 30 miles of the 81 on the highway, the rest on two lane country roads.
That would only give me right now a fuel range of 160 miles to the gas tank. I had 167 miles and the gauge was reading about 1/8th of a tank full.
So maybe the gauge is reading correct and I can only get about 160 to 170 miles to a gas tank ?
Does this sound about right with you guys bikes ?
Thanks for the help.
Bobby.
P.S. Yes you are correct, I am very lucky to be able to live here in senic New Hampshire with very nice riding available.
