I had mine put on at Daytona BW. I think they were the Boss Bags or something like that. Mine are riveted in the lid and the sides. They also installed locks and longer buckle straps. I paid the BW premium, but I gotta tell ya, it was money well spent. I don't have to worry about my leathers being stolen at events with the locks. I talked to a guy this weekend who raved about saggy bags until I showed him mine. He was a little jealous then. He puts velcro on the strap and the inside of the loop to keep his straps from flapping in the wind, so I guess it is just a matter of what you want and what you will pay.
+1 on the Boss Bags , there is no better system in my opinion
unless you need locking saddle bags the harley kit in my opinion is a little expensive.all you get is a lid stiffener and a metal bar around the top for a locking kit.nothing down each end.get something else or make your own like i did.
Just had Boss Bags stiffener kit installed at Sturgis last week. Best option on the market, a bit pricey, $250 with new longer straps, but well worth it. New bags are about 800 bucks
Mine wasn't very bad either,,,
But they needed a little help around the top lip on the bottoms.. top lids were still ok but started to sag in middle a little.
Installed PaPa bags inserts last summer, really helped and now look close to new without looking like there stretched out plastic leather as I've seen with the ones with got-saggy-bags..
I will say they don't look like much, but they do a really good job.. only takes about 10 mins to install cause they bolt right on the bolts that hold the bags on, plus U dont' need any glue..
My sig pic shows them after I put them in last summer and now even the bottom fronts are even getting better as time goes on. The lids are flat like they were when new and they don't get in the way.
I used the gotsaggybag inserts. Worked good. Although I took the long narrow piece that slides over the top outside portion off. It made it too hard to stuff bigger objects in the bag. If I had it to do over now that I know how they look I would make some myself out of plastic and glue them on.
Im conditioning my bags right now gonna soak them really well with neatsfoot oil to get put the first coat on this evening that leather is sucking it right up i will probably put a couple more coats on then put my got saggy bag liners in. Anything has to be an improvement over what they are now.

That was my question, what do you guys use on your bags to keep them looking good? Right now I.m using Harley Leather dressing but I don't
like the greasy shinny look and feel.

I dont know what you would put on them to not have the greasy shiny look i would think most anything you used would give that look. They need something ocasionaly to keep the leather from drying out.
The Harley Brand leather dressing is all I use.. Yes it does start out to be shiney and greasy feeling but once it dries out a little and then buffed off.. it works out great! I've been riding with leather bags for years and have tried other products but always seem to return to the Harley dressing.
BTW I've got 2 sets of bags for my Heritage, one set has the Soggybags products which works great and the 2nd set has the bag stiffners sold on ebay at half the cost... and in my opnion.. the kit I got on ebay is just as good as the Soggybags products.
As far as stuffing the bags with newspapers or a beach ball, well in my opnion, the short cuts just are what they are....short cuts..
