I got the Saggy Bags Kit last year, tried to put them on, got discouraged, and gave up. My bags are 17 years old and in bad shape. Gonna try soaking then in water and reshaping them slowly. Then I'll try to install the Saggy Bag kit again. Not sure they were worth the $100 yet, but then again, I haven't put forth the effort to prepare the bags for the installation. As far as leather care, a tack shop (saddles and such) should have good leather care products.
I used bossbags. Expensive solution especially the shipping but I was happy with the end result. They rivet the inserts instead of gluing them. May not be a big deal but I chose the rivets over the glue. They also installed hasps so the bags can be locked.
I have a GSB kit on the way, and this is the first im hearing about having to condition the bags first. What exactly do i need to do? Maybe i should do it now before the kit is delivered so i can get right to work once it gets here?
All together how long of a process is this to get this kit on?
Thanks
PS my bags arent bad at all just slightly saggy in middle of lids. But its my first bike so im being **** about making it perfect hehe.
