Thanks guys,

One thing I will mention... down here in Australia the laws are such that they protect us. In fact, I don't even have to get my Harley serviced by Harley!! As long as the guy servicing it is a licensed mechanic, OR I follow the service manual and don't stuff it up, my warranty is in tact.

There were some serious changes to the laws here recently so that now if something breaks on your vehicle/bike it is on the onus of the company to prove that something the consumer did caused the fault - otherwise - they must honour the warranty.

Same goes here using the TTS. If something goes wrong, Harley must prove that it was the TTS that caused it. So I am safe to program away!

In this case though, I will be taking it back and getting them to re-align. It has to go in for a service soon anyway - the first one. They can fix it then.

Cheers
-J

It's a Harley. Had the same with my 2010 fat boy. Loosen the trees and get a friend to put the front tire between his legs, apply pressure to make straight and tighten with the pressure still there and WHAMMY a quick fix. Money spent $00.00.

As far as the warranty issues with the dealers.......I am going to chime in on this. It is BS and I never understood a $250.00 oil change and so on. Did mine with synthic for $65.00 (still to much for a bike). If it was a major problem then yes the dealer but little things like this and oil changes????? It is the Harley scam and will continue to be. Just like the fact you buy a HD and the bars are wrong, the seat, exhaust, controls and bla bla bla. They have a wonderful marketing department and make a SHI# load in aftermarket stuff and labor.
But this is my 3rd Harley so there must be something-LOL

Ok, I am done. Enjoy your ride and good luck on the fix

Did yours pull left or right though?

We did try to look at the trees but there is only 2 lower pinch bolts, and the top of the forks are clamped directly to the top tree... so can you please explain what you mean about loosen the trees?

Your right about one thing... "he's talking *****". HD cannot indiscriminately invalidate warranties... I personally do not deal with dealers who even imply that they can.

Its the same here in the US, all manufacturers have to prove that the failure was caused by the maintaince or repair. For some reason all too many people believe that they have to take their bikes or car etc back to the dealers to maintain the warranty. As long as a licensed mechanic does the work or your do the work and keep the receipts your warranty will be intact.

About the front end, it probably is the alinement of the forks in the triple clamps. Easy fix, loosen the triple clamps at the fork tubs and put the front wheel in a chock or even between your legs and twist the handlebars to aline, tighten the clamps.
