Default New Fatboy - front end not square

Hello all,

So I picked up my new Fatboy last week and have so far put about 200km on - BUT - I have noticed that when I am riding in a straight line the front headlight and triple tree area does not look square.

I can't quiet put my finger on what is not straight but it is a little annoying.

Has anyone else experienced this at all?

Cheers
-J

loosen the top clamp bolts on the bars and see if twisting the bars untill they are straight with the front end , it may have been from when the bike was transported . easy fix if that is the problem

Thanks mate but the bars and fork nuts look like they are square to each other. It just looks like the whole front end is pointing slightly right not just the bars.

If what you describe is correct., you will need to put your bike on a jack or block and loosen the triple tree clamp bolts. align and re-tighten. I had the sme p[roblem with a new Roadking back on '04

Ahhh!! That sounds like it. I just was not sure if it could be out of aligned at the triple trees.

It has to go in for its 1600 service not too far away, I will get them to line it back up.

Cheers

Take it to the dealer and make them fix it under warranty

I had the same problem with my 'Lo and took it in for the 1000mi service, told the dealer about it, they did nothing about it.

Dito, dont touch, it if you do you can invalidate your warranty, I had a slight oil leak from the blank where the oil cooler lines fits, told the dealer andhis first words were ' Dont touch it if you do HD may invalidate the warranty' He may be talking ***** but you never know these days. Needless to say it was all sorted when itwent in for a service.
