EFI tanks also have a large opening on the top for the fuel pump which the carb models don't have. Starting in 04 the tanks are interchangeable, just the petcock is needed for carb models.
I may be wrong about the year, but if it has this opening it is FI. If they have a plate to cover it, you can use it on carb if you can install a petcock.
Hi you will be bidding on a set of tanks and fenders off a 2001 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail. They have about 2000 miles on the bike. They are used but in really good shape. There are a few chips in the paint but not so bad that they cant be buffed out. The tank is for carb or fuel injected.
yeah, it definatly came off a FI model, I would call the dealer and ask them if you can get the "plate" to cover the hole and see if they have a petcock to fit it.
