Hey guys can anyone help me out and tell me physical differences thatI will be able to see, between a carb and an EFI fuel tank.
I have a 2005 fatboy fuel tank that I need to identify whether it is EFI or not.
In 04 and later both the carb and EFi tank are the same. Previous to that, 01-03 EFI tanks had the big hole o\in the middle between the caps for the fuel pump assembly. A carb tank 00-03 did not have the hole.
I have an 05 as well. If you look in a parts book for 2005 you will see that the part # is the same for Carb or EFI. The only difference is you need an adapter for the petcock on a carb'd bike.
Thanks Guys
The tank I have is an 05 Fatboy, like I said it has the hole in the top, it also has 2 outlets down below for the petcock but one is blanked off. It sounds like I may have what I need.
