Just a question. My Buddie who is a gun smith has the paint booth and does gun kote. ( it is a bake on finish in tons of colors the is super hard and put on gun parts/barrel and the military uses it. It has done salt water test and so on and last like Hell, very hard to scratch and I even have a few barrels done in it and love it) I was thinking about some parts made up on the mill and so on and having him do them in gloss black or matte black. You can do tons of colors. Anyone try this stuff for a bike? any ups or downs? You can look it up on the net. Here is the link below.
They also do automotive stuff. Take a look and let me know what you think?
If there is interest I may set up a paint booth for myself and members on here

Haven't seen it on the automotive applications but on the firearms applications stick with the KG products gun coat as opposed to the Duracoat. Guncoat has the reputation of being more durable than the Duracoat. It also works best if the surface is parkerized prior to the application.

Why not?
People chrome and anodize and do all sorts of other stuff on both guns and bikes too. The worst you can do is have the finish wear off and you have to do it again or discard it.
