every comment I've read seems valid enough... just one thing to consider, do u still want it to look like a fatboy? because if u put any other wheels on it it will stop being recognized as a fatboy inmediately, it can even pass as a heritage... If it were me, I'd keep the solid wheels painted red with a chrome hub cap... that's enough retro fit already having the WW's and easy on the wallet
Thanks guy's for the compliments, never heard of the custum cut here in europe.
I'll have to do some homework.
want to make someting special,
grtz from Holland
Any decent shop with a CNC water cutter should be able to cut them. The trick is to know how much you can cut without risking the wheel's safety structure.
If you go with the CNC cutting of your disk wheels, definitely chrome or powdercoat. Aluminum will always require cleaning and buffing to maintain any decent look.
Check this guy out .... there was an article about his process and all in some bike magazine ... I dont remember which but I saved the website cuz this is on one of my to do list.. the design is different and the wheels get triple coat of chrome.. you can bang hammer on it and it would not peel... that is the kinda stuff you want.. This would not need you to break a bank either...
