Love my 18" DNA Mammoths, but the company doesn't have a good rep. I havn't had any issues. If you change wheels, go bigger than 16". Either 18, 19, or 21 on the front will totally change the look of the bike. I went 18 front and back b/c I wanted to keep the stock fender and wasn't looking for the West Coast look with the 21". I havn't regretted it once.
I like spokes, but to much cleaning for me. I went with a chrome HD wheel because it was easier to clean and cost effective.
I will agree, different wheels on a fatboy does completely change the look of the bike.
