I would vote no on the Deuce Bags, but your decision. I originally used two round SAC bags that worked great and then I purchased a Lonestar T-B. Used it for a trip to Sturgis last year and this year. Not really satisfied with the way the T-Bag mounts on Deuce. I liked the SAC roll bags better. Around my local riding area I only need one SAC bag which holds my tools, tire repair stuff and raingear with room left for whatever I pick up.

Thanks snakeinthegrass,
Is there a model number or name for the SAC bag that you have ?
I would be using the bag for the same reasons that you are.
Thanks again,
Bobby.

That sounds like the ultimate set-up, hot2007deuce.
Will the ghost brackets work with any leather bags, or do you need a certain bag to use them ?
Thanks,
Bobby.

Agree with most . Bags not something that 'fits' with the look of the deuce. I have an 01. Get yourself a couple different bags for the back and spend the money on lowering your deuce.

Nothing sucks the style from a bike like bags and a windshield, but if you travel, there's nothing better. Detachable bags (and windshield) are the way to go.

True,
But when I ride, it's not to the corner bar or dinner.
When I ride, I ride for 200+ miles non-stop.
And when I stop, it's only for gas around 180 miles into the riding trip, and then it's the rest of the way home on that gas.
So, a bag for changing temps. to put on or take off layers would be really helpful to store the layers of clothes.
A detachable windshield would also be really helpful, as with my bad 2 discs in my neck, and 3 discs in my lower back, it would take some pressure off them spots from the wind pushing against me. I'm fine for a 1/2 hour or so, but after an hour or more, I really start to hurt big time.
I didn't have that with my bikes that had fairings. I'm with you guys on how good the bike looks without the windshield and bags, and would much rather run without them, but... for my riding and my disabilities, I could really use something to help out. That's why something quick disconnet would be super. Put it on for the long trips, take it off for the short trips.
Bobby.
