Question Crossbones handlebars

2008 crossbones. handle bars became loose and moved down. went to dealer and had risers and handlebar replaced under warrantee. re-torqued under factory advisory for new specs. last nite hit bump and handle bars dropped approx 1/2". the factory is aware of a "minor Problem" with the crossbones bars becoming loose. the risers seem to be aluminum and the bars steel. found alum dust like particles in riser enclosure. don't want to pin bars for fear of hole becoming elongated after time. this seems like an engineering problem from the factory. read other posts and don't want to pay for steel risers due to this being a factory issue. any other suggestions?

Helicoil the riser and tap some divets into the bars so it grips better. That worked for me.
