OK, the service manual says to install the banjo bolt with new steel/rubber washers, but the new brake lines come with copper washers.

These copper washers are fine for this in spite of the service manuals recommendations?

 

Automobiles use copper washers.Either one should be fine.
Hows the bar swap coming?Did you pull the tank?
I've been wanting to do this too,but I am a little unsure.

The brake line was the last bit. It wasn't too bad for a newb like myself.
Ran into a couple issues, but folks on the forum helped a lot.

I'm glad I did it. Spaced the work out over a few nights rather than trying to tackle it all in one day.

I didn't have to completely remove the tank. Just took the bolts out and slid it back far enough
to get at the connections.
