I just did the 5,000 mile service on my 05 Deuce changing my oil and filter. Went over to 20/50 Mobil 1 V-Twin Synthetic oil from regular HD 20/50 oil. Service manual says 3.5 quarts to fill. I put in 3 quarts and took it for a 20 minute cruise and came home, put it on the jiffy stand and let it idle for 2 minutes then shut off. Just like the manual says to do. Took oil reading and it shows "over full" mark on my dipstick.....My oil level is just about at the welding area on the oil neck too.
I know I let it ALL the oil drain out. Kept the oil plug out for about 30 minutes. Anyone have thoughts on this?
FYI- I also changed the tranny oil to 75/90 Mobil 1 and primary oil with Mobil 1 20/50 V-Twin
