Default How much oil?

Changed my oil in my fatboy the other day. The service manual says 3.5 quarts, but it is showing full at only 2 quarts 22 ounces. I did not scavenge the oil lines, so I know there was some oil left in there. Does this sound normal?

Happens all the time.....When you change the oil add 2.5 quarts, fire it up for a min, then re-check......add oil to the properlevel after this. It is easier to add oil than it is taking it out if you over fill.
