Hey Santo do your 28.5" go past your rear fender? in your pic they look to go past the fender. Because i had 28.5" and mine were just to the end of my rear fender. I wonder is Samson "fishtails" are measured different than Samson "longtails"?
Yep, my fish tails go 1.5" past the fender. Thats strange..
You can move the pipes further on or off the head pipes and that is what that extra 1.5" is guys. If you want them to be even with the rear fender use a block of wood and a rubber mallet to put them further on the head pipes.
36" would be a safe length since our Cholo bike bags are mounted more rearward. if you mount them farther rearward like we did then you would need the 39".

Well on newer Samson pipes everything is pretty much hole/mount aligned so there is no pounding your pipes with a mallet 1.5"'s. Everything lines up to mount. I think because he's runnen "fishtails" not "longtails" there is a size length difference between the two styled pipes. I pounded nothiing to get my pipes on. Everything was a good fit.....Hmmmm...Maybe the Samson guy could chime in?
