Hey Brothers and sisters,
Recently my wife has been able to get back on the back of my '09 heritage classic(back issues), so I need to adjust the shocks to beef them up a little. I've seemed to misplace my manual so can someone give me some info. on which way to turn or adjust, it will be most appreciated.
1. loosen lock nut's, then 2. using the spanner wrench turn the adjuster plate towards the lock nuts to increase preload ( for heavier loads ). 3. re tighten lock nuts.
Make sure both shock's are adjusted equaly, before I move the lock nuts I usually put a bit of paint on the nuts so that I know when I have finished turning them out they are both in the same position before adjusting the plates. ( I count the turns )
i have a fatboy lo when i got it with 2 on it bottom out preety bad i took it to the dealer they played with the shocks with 2 on a very nice ride. the bike comes from the factory for weight 160
