Talking Quick detach windshield . . .

Well I decided to take off my quick detach windshield today for the first time to give everything a good cleaning. Pulled up the tabs and it wouldn't budge. Then I noticed that there is a nut snugging up the post where the tab goes - one on each side. I losened these and VOILA, the windshield came right off. The silly question is; do the nuts need to be so tight that the windshield won't come off without losening them? Still, I don't want them to fall out or have the windshield blow off. I tightened them back up but was curious as to what you do with yours? Thanks.

That's what I figured. Seems someone was overzealous when they put on my chrome front end and put everything back together. LoL

Ya you shouldn't need to touch anything but the shield itself. Just give it a good pull and it should come off and back on just as easily.
