Have a 2010 fat boy. I want to drop the back end. I know progressive shocks are the way to go but I need some extra squid to go that route. I see there are kits and not sure if that is the was to go or not. Looking for a 2" drop max. Anyone do the kits before? Any plus/minus to the kit over a progressive set?
Thanks
I ran a 1" drop on mine for a year and had no issues at all with the ride. When i swapped rear fenders i went to a 2" drop with the cheap stud kits. It rode like a brick, needless to say i have found some extra cash to put the platinum air ride on.

BTW pics would also be great.
I've fitted fournales air shocks, they can be lowered once run in and they never bottom out. I have them only slightly lower than normal but they can drop a lot further. You can get them with a built in air compressor that can change the ride height with a switch. Only catch is the price - about $1500
