Hey everyone,
My 07 deuce tail light is loose, i have noticed in the past a couple times after i ride it actually pops out of place. Tonite, the wifey and I had to hightail it home on the interstate and when i got home, it was completely just hanging from the bike by the wires.
any suggestions on how to get it to stay in place better? seems like it has been like this ever since i installed the brake/turnsignal conversion..which i had to remove the tail light for.
It is not held on by nuts or screws. it fits into the fender with a rubber thing that wedges into the fender to hold it in place. and to get it off, you stick a screwdriver in a hold and it pops it out, but mine, you dont need the screwdriver any more, the vibrations of the bike make it come out.
There is a piece of black rubber that mounts to tabs on the tail light. On mine, a couple of tabs have broken off. My light has popped out a few times too! I now have a piece of gorilla tape holding it in place until I buy a new tail light.
