backfiring
my nt recently started backfiring between shifting gears? the only engine mods ive done is the VH exhaust and la choppers air cleaner kit. any ideas why? do i need to get the engine mapped? ideas? suggestions?

I had the same problem with my '08 Train with V&H Big Radius and stock breather. The guy i got the bike from said he had the dealer reflash the ECU with the proper mapping but it still popped on decel when i got it. I put the Screaming Eagle heavy breather and a PC3 with a canned map and the popping went away. I just need to get it Dyno tuned now.
With your setup a reflash by HD, or more preferrably, PC3 (or some other brand remapping hardware/software) is a must.

My high flow A/C and pipes with the dealer flash popped as well. However, as mentioned above, the PCIII and a dyno tune took care of it.

Get a PC 3 or 5 and get it tuned by an expert. My experience of Harley dealers is that they don't invest in the experience to tune so go to a professional tuner. My 08 fatboy is unbelievably responsive and pulls like a train.

I think I may need to have mine remapped as well. I had a stage one just completed on my 10 Fat Boy Lo (SE hvy Breather and V & H Big Radius) and I get that popping when decel too....kinda wondering why the HD doesn't use the best mapping possible at time of install....
