Neck burn
I have a 08 Fatboy, and after about forty minutes, the back of my neck starts burning. Anybody out there have a remedy for this??? Went to a bone cracker twice, and he did nothing for me. Maybe there is some exercise that would help??
There has been much discussion here about lower & upper back as well as arm and shoulder pain here and elsewhere. The solution seems to be a pull back riser or completely different handlebar. I just posted a thread several minutes ago about the Swingback bars. (see link below) I was also wondering about the street slammer bars. I trhink you are reaching too far forward for the bars.

Thanks for the reply. I thought about risers, and wanted to see what others had to say before I go throwing more money at the bike. Did a search and didn't see a whole hell of a lot, maybe didn't type the right words in.
With me, I get shoulder fatigue from raising my shoulders, so perhaps even mini apes are not a solution. I need closer, not higher.
I'm the same way with working with my arms over my head plus I have arthritis in my right shoulder but after riding my friends custom with 14" apes for well over 3 hours with no pain whatsoever, I think I will be going that way. I also find that my shoulders drop when I ride with apes. My arms raise but my shoulders are much more relaxed.
Maybe others with apes will stop in and give their experiences.

Everyone has their own thing that helped them. For me, I sat on my bike with my back straight...sitting up like my grade school teachers taught me (bless them.haha)..
Then I put my arms out. I made sure my elbows were still bent a little and forearms were near parallel to the ground. I then bought 4 inch pull back risers, and then angled my handlebars down just a bit so my wrist were not bent up or down when holding on.
Again, to each there own. I find pain comes from one part of my body trying to compensate for an odd position of another part of my body.
