i rotated mine too much the first time and it numb my hands so i had to back them off a little and they r perfect

 

I had the very same pain in my back/neck.

I just had 14" apes installed and have had NO back pain at all. Apes are the solution/Arms paralell to the ground...for me atleast!

 

Might not be the total cure but take aleve if you can before a long ride.it helps me with shoulder pain.

 

When I installed my apes it eased up the discomfort on my lower back. No problems with my shoulders, as they're pretty relaxed in the new riding position.
Amen to that. My neck never hurt when I wore my novelty, but since getting busted and wearing my DOT half shell, my neck kills me.

 

do you have a windshield on your bike?, the burn might be coming from you trying to hold your head forward in the wind. now that your wearing a bigger heavier helmet

 

Thats another reason why even at over 60 the mini's apes on the heritage have never gave me any pains..
They have been nothing but comfort since the get go...
