We have extensions on both my SG and my wife's new Deluxe. Shift pegs are stock length and it hasn't been an issue.

The funny thing is once you put the HG extensions on the first thing you are going to ask yourself is why you waited so long!

+1 on the Harley Goodies Extensions. I'm think about going forward with the boards too.

i was thinking about switching to forward controls to get more room to stretch out. a friend of mine has the Goodies, and yeah, they moved the boards out, but i need them to move forward as well. have any of you installed the Arlen Ness 3" extension kit, the one that moves the boards & controls forward 3"? those are the ones i am thinking of trying first before making the jump to forward controls.

I have them o my Heritage with stock shifter, actually I have only the front peg. I removed the rear one. I have had no issues at all. Only issue I have had is scraping the floorboards in hard fast turns but I got use to them and don't scrape so much.

Search eBay for Extended Shift Peg. I found these pretty inxpensive. These are 4 inches long. I got tired of shifting pigeon toed.

I added a Joker Machine BMX style peg to my foot clutch and it is almost wider than the floorboard. It was not an issue before, but i ride with wheels on the boards and toes hanging way off the edge so this makes it even easier. Plus my foot sticks to the BMX style peg so no worry about slipping off and stalling. Either way, teh Harley Goodies make every ride a complete pleasure.
