I had the explorer on my Train for awhile. Pretty damn comfortable in a firm kind of way, not all pillowy, but no hot spots. Felt I could go all day. Has nice tall back support. The only reason I didnt keep it was the passenger area is pretty large (I wasn't into the look). What you want if you carry a passenger alot though. Wife loved it.
I went with a solo when my wife got her bike, and stuck with a Saddlemen.
Do a search on it and my thread will probably turn up.
Mustangs are very good too and their tourers are really popular. I haven't had one so cant speak to it.
I have both a Mustang Wide Vintage Super Touring and a Saddlemen King for my '09 FLSTF. The King is similar to the Explorer but has a narrower passenger section.
The Mustang sits you higher and closer to the handlebars. The Saddlemen sits you lower and farther back. You sit on the bike with the Mustang and sort of in the bike with the Saddlemen. The Mustang uses softer foam.
I feel like I'm riding a touring bike with the Mustang and a cruiser with the Saddlemen.
I use the Saddlemen more than the Mustang. I also have a Kuryakin rider backrest that I use with both seats.
