I have ordered the 2011 and the only difference is the paint color and the security and ABS add on. My bike comes with out both. And my delivery date is a month ahead. I figure that since the 2010 dosen't have ABS that was good to go for 2010. I am also looking at a brake lock instead of the security system if they really want it, it will be gone. But remember it wieghs 730 Lbs.
I don't know... If I had the choice of getting the ABS when I bought mine 3 months ago...I'd have gotten it. But I'm plenty happy with my purchase as is.
went looking at the 2011's to try to find a difference, and there was none, other than the new white color option, and the ABS. i was honestly hoping to see one with the new 103 engine upgrade, but nope...only wishful thinking. i also have the 2 into 2 pipes on mine, and have never scraped them. where i live, there are back to back "S" curves, about 6 in a row through the woods, and they have never scraped once.
I have a 2010 Lo. Looked at a new one and I can't tell the difference. I would have gotten ABS if it would have been available.
I also installed V&H Big Radius 2 into 2. Added Big City Thunder QBL-1845 baffles and then cut the stock V&H baffles down to fit behind them. The sound is perfect. Not too loud but loud enough. You won't need ear plugs. For me the perfect set up.
The 2011 Softails have HDLAN ( CAN ) bus technology . The HDLAN networks the ECM , ABS ECU , BCM , the instrument cluster plus the right and left switch controls . Also a keyless ignition and the data link connector is a 6 pin plug.
Kinda cool for the teckies but will need the dealership for troubleshooting. Ext. Warranty is a good idea. Hope HD trains their local tech's well.
