I adjusted mine after noticing they were really high. I pointed them at the same level as the headlamp with the left pointed slightly inward. Always on, works great at night, Never been flashed.

Convert those things to dual element and then you can high beam them back. I keep my duallies aimed a little low. But the highbeam gets my point made. ANd if that don't work I can always put all 3 lights on HI.

I'm on my second 95 FLSTN. Both w/ aux lamps installed. Both pointed in the trees. I could not adjust the vertical aim because of how they mount. On the first bike, i made and installed tapered washers where the lamp mounted which angled the aim down according to the angle of taper and wired them to be on w/ both hi and lo beams. Now I have to do the same on No.2. Since these both normally aimed at the trees, they were always seen be on-coming traffic as really bright! I really like 'em better when they are lighting the edges of the pavement instead of searching for owls.

If I'm riding their on. I adjusted mine right after I got my bike, only time mine may be a little high is when riding 2 up which is about 50 percent of the time. I'd rather they see me than not. Most of my night riding is done at 5:00 in the morning going to work, not much traffic then.

I run mine day or night, haven't been flashed yet. At least I would turn on the high beam to see if they liked that better.

adjust them...they are aimed incorrectly. I had the same probnlem with the wifes Deluxe, and my Ultra..nieter of us could follow the other without turning them off.. Re-aimed them according to manual directions and problem solved.
